Welcome 2025! May the new year bring you good health, happiness, prosperity and success!
As we step into 2025 and reflect on the past year, I am deeply grateful for the unwavering support of our community. I am reminded that the strength of AIWM lies not only in the work we accomplish but also in our shared vision for the Independent Wealth Management industry, underscoring our increasingly pivotal role in today’s financial ecosystem.

Compliance Insight – January 2025
The new year starts out with a bang of reporting, as every year: A/I LFMCs must submit their nil misconduct declarations (unless they reported misconduct during the previous calendar year) and their quarterly reports by 14 January 2025.

A word from the Committee by Joyce Woo, AIWM Regulatory & Advocacy
Incoming members of the 2025 committee were each asked to prepare a short introductory note for the Association’s 2024 AGM. My contribution was “Mindful Practicality”. This attempt at brevity was nixed and my contribution was expanded to: “The bedrock of a sustainable enterprise is a mindful and practical approach to fulfilling regulatory expectations.”

And it’s a wrap! We held the last event of the year, AIWM Regulatory & Compliance Update workshop, together with UBS Singapore last Wednesday, which saw over 70 members come by for a morning of learning the best practices of cyber resiliency, managing cybersecurity risks. Facilitated by Ingenia Consultants, over 20 professionals from our Ordinary member firms, holding the operations and/or compliance forts, attended the FIRST AIWM Regulatory Masterclass on 4 Dec 2024.
