The Monetary Authority of Singapore (“MAS”) did not publish any material regulatory updates in February 2026, but several surveys are due for submission. Participating financial institutions would have received the circulars on the details and submission deadlines, so we encourage you to check on the MAS-TX.

On 1 February, MAS released the Incident Reporting Template for financial institutions to report incidents to MAS, including incidents relating to IT systems, cyber attacks, information loss and liquidity. This is a follow up to the Circular on Financial Institution Incident Reporting published on 16 December 2025 effective on 1 February 2026.

MAS continued to revise the Compliance Toolkit for Approvals, Notifications and Other Regulatory Submissions to MAS for Fund Managers with an update on 25 February. The changes are minor, namely on the notification to MAS of system malfunction/disturbance in IT security, and submission of root cause and impact on the system malfunction.

With the transition of MASNET to MAS-TX and the scheduled maintenance for the Data Collection Gateway (DCG), fund managers may experience difficulties in data submissions or temporary access disruptions. Please include buffers for the filing calendars during this period.
