About Independent Wealth Managers

Independent Wealth Managers, also known as External Asset Managers or Independent Asset Managers are nonbank wealth managers regulated by the MAS, and they range from independent management firms to family offices and individual advisers.

Concentrating on private investors and high net worth individuals, independent wealth managers offer a flexible, holistic, and strategic approach to wealth management. With a focus on client centricity, independent wealth managers provide bespoke investment advice and solutions that are tailor-made to clients’ individual needs in this fast-changing market environment.

As the number of independent wealth managers continues to grow in Singapore and across Asia, they are increasingly recognised as valued players in Singapore’s financial ecosystem.

Jolene, a Singaporean with more than 16 years of experience in the banking and asset management industry, is one of the Co-Founders of SingAlliance Pte Ltd. As one of the pioneer adopters of the IAM/MFO concept in Singapore, she was directly involved in every aspect of the business, from laying the groundwork to extending the company’s global footprints. Since 2011, SingAlliance has expanded its business presence to Geneva, Hong Kong, and Dubai.

Prior to SingAlliance, she was a relationship manager at Bank Julius Baer where she was responsible for managing portfolios of HNW European clients as well as developing the IAM business. She has also held similar client advisory & wealth management roles, servicing HNW Asian clients at ABN Amro Bank and OCBC Bank.

Jolene graduated with an honours degree in Banking, Finance & Management from Loughborough University, UK. She was awarded the WMI Certificate in Private Banking by Wealth Management Institute and has obtained the STEP Professional Postgraduate Diploma in Private Wealth Advice. Jolene is a Certified Trust & Estate Practitioner (TEP) and a senior member of WMI Global-Asia Family Office Circle.

PARTNER AND WEALTH MANAGER | AZIMUT INVESTMENT MANAGEMENT SINGAPORE

Bernard is a Partner and Wealth Manager at Azimut Investment Management Singapore, where he leads a team of senior wealth managers, focusing on business development and growth. His team provide comprehensive advisory and discretionary wealth management services to high-net-worth individuals (HNWIs), families, and institutions across Southeast Asia.

Before joining Azimut in 2019, Bernard was with UBS Singapore, advising HNWIs and institutional clients. He has held leadership roles in wealth management at ABN AMRO, UOB, Citibank, HSBC, and OCBC, accumulating over 20 years of industry experience.

Bernard graduated summa cum laude from Washington State University with a BA in Business Administration, majoring in Management Information Systems. He is a member of Beta Gamma Sigma, an international business honor society. In 2024, he earned his Master of Science in Wealth Management from Singapore Management University, graduating on the Dean’s List.

In his free time, Bernard enjoys outdoor activities such as mountain biking, hiking, jogging, and swimming.

I am a financial professional with over 10 years of working experience, with the last 8 spent in the independent wealth management industry. I currently serve as CFO and Head of Business Management at Mindful Wealth Pte Ltd, overseeing finance and operations. My ultimate goal is to provide the highest level of support, with the intent of delivering exceptional service to our clients. Working for a boutique company requires being entrepreneurial and flexible, which allowed me to gain a comprehensive understanding of the business as a whole. My expertise spans various domains, from accounting and financial analysis to operations and business development.

I am originally from Lugano, the main city in the Italian-speaking part of Switzerland, where I was born 35 years ago. My professional career began in 2013 in the finance department of Ermenegildo Zegna, a leading men’s luxury fashion company. I completed an internship, and I was then hired as a brand controller. After 3.5 years and seeking highly desired international experience, I seized the opportunity to relocate to Singapore and join my current employer.

I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore in Milan, and in 2020, I earned an MBA from Singapore Management University (SMU). I am currently studying to complete the ACCA IFRS certification.

Recently married, outside of my professional life I enjoy practicing sports, particularly boxing. I meditate daily and am an avid book reader. Cooking is my favorite way to unwind, and I developed a passion for the world of wines, deepened by completing the WSET Level 2 & 3 Awards in Wines certificates.

Alexander Floersheim is a Managing Partner at Lumen Capital Investors. Prior to moving to Singapore in 2019, Alexander spent over a decade in Hong Kong, most recently he served as Chief Investment Officer at Carret Private Capital. Prior to that, Alexander was Chief Investment Officer at StoBene Partners and led the Investment Advisory Services team at Bank Julius Baer. Alexander holds a Bachelor degree in Law and Economics from the University of St. Gallen and Master of Science in Global Finance from HKUST and NYU Stern

As Head of Leo Wealth Singapore, Joyce is responsible for overseeing business development, risk management and operational support. Prior to its re-branding as Leo Wealth Singapore, the company was founded in July 2014 by Joyce as Jachin Capital Pte Ltd.

The establishment of Jachin Capital in July 2014 capped her career with the private banking teams of major financial institutions such as OCBC, Citigroup, UBS, Morgan Stanley and Bank of Singapore.

Joyce has over 40 years of corporate and private banking experience in Singapore and South-East Asia. Her all-rounded experience encompasses credit, operations, compliance, risk management, investment advisory, marketing and sales.

Before her client relationship management role with the private banking institutions, Joyce spent 12 years in key regional management positions at Merrill Lynch International Bank Ltd. She was Regional Banking Operations Manager for Asia Pacific for about four years before moving on in 1997 to become Regional Compliance and Control Manager for Asia Pacific. After successfully updating and implementing a risk management framework for Merrill Lynch, Joyce took on a Regional Marketing and Sales Manager function for Asia Pacific in 1999. She stayed in this position until April 2001 when she joined OCBC to spearhead the investment advisory team.

At OCBC, Joyce was instrumental in setting up the investment advisory team for the private banking unit. Joyce also served as a member of the investment committee for OCBC Trustee Limited. Joyce cut her teeth in banking as a Credit and Marketing Officer at DBS Finance Ltd after graduating with a Bachelor of Business Administration (Honors) degree from the National University of Singapore.

I have assisted my clients in investment decisions in bonds, stocks, derivatives, hedge funds, and insurance. I believe in “doing unto others as you would have them do unto you” and approach clients and counterparties with utmost respect.

As CEO of Avallis Investments, I oversee business strategies and set the vision and direction for the team. Over the past years, I have built an extensive network of private banks and financial institutions that partners Avallis Investments, and has been instrumental in spearheading its development and growth. I have established strong relationships with major private banks and financial institutions; garnering support which has contributed to the growth of the business.
