Private Lunch “Unveiling Family Office Solutions through a VCC structure” by HSBC Private Banking
Wednesday, April 21, 2021, 11:30 am – 2:00 pm (GMT +8)
Registration is now open until 14 April.
The number of family offices has increased significantly globally, with Asia at the forefront of this rapid growth having almost doubled (44%) in numbers since 2017. This rise is set to continue in Singapore where private wealth is expanding at such a remarkable pace with increasing number of families turning to family offices when consolidating their wealth and planning for inter-generational wealth transfers.
Against this backdrop, the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) and the Accounting and Corporate Regulatory Authority (ACRA) jointly launched the Variable Capital Companies (VCC) structure last year, a potential game-changer across the Asia-Pacific region.
Join us for lunch as we delve into the topic on VCC and explore ways family offices can benefit from it as part of wealth and legacy planning for families.
As the VCC has to be supported by a regulated fund manager in Singapore, fund management companies duly registered or licensed will now play an even greater role in Singapore’s wealth ecosystem.
