The 2nd instalment for the 2024 series of AIWM Professional Excellence, is happening on Thursday, 24 October 2024 at The Fullerton Hotel Singapore.
Now in its sixth year, the AIWM Professional Excellence gathers the AIWM community – External Asset Managers (EAMs), Family Offices, private banks, service providers amongst others, to discuss how best to drive growth and leverage the opportunities amid an ever-evolving wealth management landscape and technological advancements.

Roger Chi
Roger Chi
Roger Chi is a Partner of 1291 Group Asia and oversees the development of the Singapore office. Roger has extensive experience working with family offices across Asia and the Middle East advising on cross border investments, succession planning, taxation, family governance, and private equity. Prior to 1291, Roger was a partner at Candareen Capital where he led their family Office advisory activities and was appointed a senior advisor to Sheikh Syed al Maktoun. Roger started his career as a venture capitalist at Brainrush Ventures – a San Francisco Bay Area venture capital firm, before joining a Monitor Company and a leading strategic consulting firm. Roger holds a MBA from the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania and a Bachelor of Science (BS) from the UC Berkeley.
Ashvin Murthy
Ashvin Murthy
Ashvin Murthy is the Founder and Chief Investment Officer of AVM Capital. He launched the AVM Global Opportunity Fund in 2016, a macro investment strategy with an established track record of delivering attractive risk adjusted returns.
Ashvin began his career in finance in the Fixed Income division at UBS. He was involved in trading complex derivatives across the Fixed Income spectrum, a journey that involved working in 4 different teams across Singapore, London and Zurich. He then moved to Hong Kong to lead the FX Options Team at Natixis. This breadth of experience in financial markets enabled Ashvin to develop a proprietary strategy that delivers robust and steady returns through different economic regimes.
Ashvin was awarded a scholarship by the Singapore Public Service Commission to study Engineering in France. He graduated with a Diplome d’Ingenieur (Master of Science in Engineering) from Ecole Centrale Paris and received the Bourse d’Excellence Eiffel from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in France. Ashvin then went on to obtain a Master of Science in Financial Engineering from Columbia University in 2003.
Leon Lee

Leon Lee, CFA, is Head of Business Development at AVM Capital.
He brings to the team more 25 years of experience in the asset management and private wealth management industries.
Leon started his career in the Asset Management Industry working closely with Sovereign Wealth Funds, Pension Funds and Insurance Companies. He then spent more than 15 years in private banking as a senior relationship manager and team leader, serving family offices and UHNW Individuals.
He was Managing Director at Bank of Singapore and subsequently, Citi Private Bank. Having worked closely with clients through various financial market conditions, Leon is a firm believer in the importance of delivering superior risk adjusted returns within portfolios. Leon graduated from University of Western Australia with majors in Accounting and Finance.
Joanne Khew
Joanne Khew
Dr. Joanne Khew has more than 13 years of experience in ESG and Sustainability. She is currently a Director, ESG Specialist at Eastspring Investments Singapore.
Reporting to the Chief Investment Officer, Joanne works across the equities, fixed income and private market investment teams at the Eastspring Group level to deepen ESG integration throughout the investment cycle. Her role spans the creation of proprietary ESG tools, the design of ESG monitoring and engagement systems and ESG product development.
Prior to joining Eastspring, she was Director, Sustainable Finance and Strategic Partnerships at Standard Chartered Bank where she contributed to growing the sustainable financing portfolio in Asia across sustainable debt, trade and derivative products. She was also involved in the establishment of market-making initiatives such as the Climate Impact X carbon credit marketplace.
Joanne held the role of ESG Specialist at the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank where she expanded its Sustainable Capital Markets Initiative, ensuring ESG and Climate integration across the investment cycle for capital market, loans and private equity products.
Joanne graduated with a PhD in Sustainability Science from the University of Tokyo’s Graduate Program in Sustainability Science. She is also currently an Adjunct Snr Lecturer at the National University of Singapore.

June Zheng is an Institutional Sales Managers at Interactive Brokers. Prior to becoming a sales manager, June had 8 years of experience in Institutional Services in Hong Kong and Singapore. June holds a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering from Nanyang Technological University and a master’s degree in Applied Economics from National University of Singapore.
Jeremy Dominh
Jeremy Dominh
Jeremy Dominh is an Investment Solutions Sales at Leonteq Securities. He has been working in the Structured Products field for more than 10 years, covering Institutional and Distribution clients across Europe, the Middle-East and South-East Asia. Prior to his role at Leonteq Securities, he worked as a Structurer at Natixis and Societe Generale and as a Sales at Credit Suisse and Citigroup. Solutions oriented, his knowledge spans from Cross-Asset Structured Products, to Quantitative Investment Solutions, as well as Actively Managed Certificates.
Jeremy has a Masters of Science, Finance, from EDHEC Business School.
Chris Wyke

Chris Wyke is the Joint Chief Executive Officer of MA Financial Group and was one of the founders of the company in 2009.
Chris has over 20 years’ industry experience, including extensive private equity, turnaround, restructuring, M&A, equity and debt capital markets transactions.
Chris has been involved with a broad range of clients and transactions, most recently the sale of TEN Network Holdings to CBS, the restructure and recapitalization of both BIS Industries (A$1.1bn) and Slater and Gordon (A$730m), the purchase of the GE Consumer finance business (A$8.2bn), the reorganizations and control transactions of both Boart Longyear (US$3522m), and Billabong (US$459m), the distressed acquisitions of both IMed (A$1bn) and Channel 9 (A$3.4bn) on behalf of a syndicate of Special Situation / Private Equity investors.
Chris previously worked in investment banking for J.P. Morgan and UBS in London, Singapore and Sydney.
Chris holds a Bachelor of Economics with Honors from University College London.

Jean de Kock is the Investment Consulting Director for Asia at Mercer. A senior investment professional with several years’ experience in researching active fixed income investment strategies offered by global asset managers across various locations. Previous experience in middle office and operational due diligence provides a holistic experience base across front and back office. Possesses strong leadership skills, communication skills and the ability to work under pressure. A track record of producing and delivering quality output, whilst working autonomously or as part of a team.
Angus Hui
Angus Hui
Angus Hui is Deputy Chief Investment Officer and Head of Fixed Income at Fullerton Fund Management. He works closely with Fullerton’s Chief Investment Officer to manage the Investment Group and oversee portfolios and is part of the CIO office. As Head of Fixed Income, he leads the team and has oversight of all the fixed income portfolios. Angus also oversees the team’s investment process, and its suite of solutions.
Angus was previously Head of Credits, Asia at Schroders. Angus was a member of the leadership team for the global credit platform and led the investment team in Asian and Global Emerging Market Credits. He was the lead portfolio manager for Asian and Emerging Market Credits and had overall responsibility for RMB credit.
Before assuming his leadership role at Schroders, Angus has managed Asia, Emerging Markets, Global Fixed Income portfolios, and also had credit research responsibilities.
Prior to joining Schroders in 2000, he had research roles at HSBC in Hong Kong and Standard and Poor’s in Australia.
Angus holds a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce (Accounting) and a Master‘s degree in Commerce (First Class Honours) from the University of Melbourne. He is also a CFA charterholder.
Ryuichi Kawasaki

Joined Mitsubishi UFJ Trust & Banking Corp (“MUFG Trust Bank”) in 1998, Mr. Kawasaki entered global market space as a Forex Dealer in 2001. Since then, he has consistently pursued his career in investment business at the Trust Bank.
His background is versatile. Recently he managed multi-asset portfolio (including alternatives) which has over 2 trillion yen AUM from corporate pensions, as a portfolio manager. Before that, he was engaged in Japan Equity/Fixed Income, Global Equity/Fixed Income, Credit Investment and Forex market, as a Portfolio Manager, Analyst, Economist and Trader in his over 20 years career.
During his career, he has experienced many financial market events such as September11, GFC, European Debt Crisis, Taper tantrum and Covid-19.
He has Bachelor of Laws at KEIO University and is the Certified Member Analyst of the Securities Analysts Association of Japan (CMA). He was a member of Junior National Tennis team, he still enjoys playing tennis every weekend.
Kota Murakami
Kota Murakami
Kota oversees asset management business in Singapore and is responsible for business development in APAC region. He has been in market related industry for more than 25 years including manager as equity, bond, FX, and money market. He has been serving as a client relationship manager for global investors in Hong Kong, UK, and Singapore.
He holds a BA of Commerce from Hitotsubashi University and is a Chartered Member of the Securities Analyst Association of Japan (CMA).
