Happy New Year and best wishes for 2026!

This January marks a meaningful milestone as we enter the 15th anniversary of AIWM Singapore. It is a moment to pause and reflect on our journey so far, and to look ahead with optimism as our industry continues to evolve. Over the years, our community has grown not only in scale and sophistication, but also in purpose. Independent Wealth Managers have increasingly played an important role in upholding objectivity, professionalism, and long-term stewardship for clients – values that remain at the heart of what we do.

This past year also marked an important milestone for our community with the successful launch of our inaugural Independent Wealth industry summit, which brought together practitioners, partners, stakeholders and academia for thoughtful dialogue and collaboration. The strong engagement and positive feedback reinforced the value of collective conversations and shared learning, and we are pleased to build on this momentum with the 2nd edition of the AIWM Independent Wealth Summit 2026 which will be held on 14th April 2026.

As we step into this anniversary year, our industry continues to operate in an environment shaped by evolving regulation, shifting client expectations, technological advancement, and global uncertainty. These developments reinforce the importance of strong collaboration and shared responsibility within our industry. 15 years of joint effort, advocacy, and professional excellence, made possible by every member and partner within our wealth management community – it’s a milestone that makes us proud of how far we’ve come, and excited for what’s still ahead. Each initiative is designed to support you, empower our community, and help us stay ahead in a fast-changing industry. And the best way to make the most of it is to be active, participate, and engage. Your involvement shapes the energy of our community, sparks new ideas, strengthens connections, and ensures our shared journey continues to be dynamic and rewarding.

This year is also an election year for our Committee, marking an important phase of renewal and transition. I warmly encourage Ordinary members who are passionate about the future of independent wealth management, and who wish to contribute their experience, perspective and energy, to consider putting themselves forward for nomination, and help shape the next chapter of our industry.

I look forward to working alongside our members throughout this milestone year, and I wish everyone a positive, engaged, and successful start to 2026 – the Year of the Fire Horse!
