Dear Members and Friends,

As we welcome the month of August, our nation is abuzz with excitement as Singapore celebrates her 60th year of independence. This year’s National Day Parade will be especially memorable, with our F-15SG and F-16SG fighter jets soaring in a striking diamond formation – a powerful symbol of strength, unity, and precision. From a modest trading port in 1965 to today’s thriving global financial and innovation hub, Singapore’s journey is one of vision, resilience, and unity. This progress mirrors the growth of our independent wealth management industry – built on adaptability, trust, and shared values.

In the July newsletter, Jolene reminded us that the first half of 2025 has been a “fast-forwarding” six months – marked by profound shifts in technology, regulation, global economics, and evolving client needs. As she aptly shared, these shifts are not just challenges but catalysts that redefine how we operate, serve, and grow as an industry. The call to “upkeep, upskill, update, and uphold” remains a timely reminder as we embark on the second half of the year.

In the spirit of SG60, we are excited to highlight our 2nd AIWM Charity Pickleball Tournament, taking place on 5 September 2025 at Choa Chu Kang Sports Centre, in support of Marymount Centre (marymountctr.org.sg). This event is a chance for our members, partners, and friends to make a meaningful difference in the community. We are thrilled to share that 10 teams have already signed up, and we warmly invite more participants to join us. Thanks to your generosity and support, we have already raised more than SGD 25,000 for Marymount Centre, and we look forward to exceeding this fundraising goal together. The event promises to be a day of camaraderie, fun, and giving back – a true reflection of the heart of our AIWM community.

At the same time, we are in active discussions with Singapore Management University (SMU) to organise the 2nd AIWM Independent Wealth Summit in 2026. Building on the success of our inaugural summit, our goal is to deliver an even more impactful event that will inspire, educate, and connect our members with the next generation of wealth managers.

Looking ahead, the Committee has an exciting line-up for Q4, including two additional Regulatory & Compliance sessions, the 13th Annual General Meeting, the next edition of AIWM Professional Excellence, an exclusive C-suite event – AIWM Executive Sparks – and our highly anticipated Year-End Dinner.

Stay tuned for more details, and we look forward to your continued support and active participation.

Wishing you a meaningful SG National Day and successful months ahead.
