Dear AIWM members and friends,

As we step into September, it is striking to see how quickly the year has passed. 2025 has been a year of energy and momentum for AIWM, with our community actively engaged in events that foster both professional excellence and collegiality. Earlier this month, we were delighted to host our Charity Pickleball Tournament at Choa Chu Kang Sports Centre. The afternoon brought together members and friends of the Association in a spirit of camaraderie, friendly competition, and giving back. We thank all participants and supporters for contributing to both the enjoyment of the day and the charitable purpose it served.

Looking ahead, September continues to be a busy and important month. On Thursday, 18 September 2025, we will convene the 13th Annual General Meeting at The Capitol Kempinski Hotel Singapore. This annual milestone provides members with an overview of the Association’s activities and priorities for the year ahead, as well as an opportunity for active participation in shaping AIWM’s direction. We then conclude the month with the Regulatory & Compliance Update Workshop on Friday, 26 September 2025, at JW Marriott Singapore South Beach. This session will focus on pressing themes such as risk management, third-party service providers, technology risk, legal considerations, and the evolving landscape of regulatory and RegTech solutions. These topics are central to strengthening governance and ensuring that our industry continues to uphold the highest standards in a rapidly changing environment.

In parallel, we are also making strong progress on the development of the AIWM Certification Framework, a key initiative that will reinforce professional standards and provide our members with an additional benchmark of excellence. This framework aims to enhance the credibility of our industry. More details will be shared with members in the coming months.

I am personally also pleased to extend a warm welcome to our new members who have joined us this year. Your engagement adds strength and diversity to our community, and we look forward to your active participation in our initiatives. At the same time, we would like to recognize the invaluable contribution of our associate members. It is through their steadfast support that AIWM is able to deliver a rich and meaningful calendar of programming, providing our members with platforms for learning, advocacy, and connection. As secretary, member engagement is an important part of my role. Please do reach out, should there be anything I can support you with.

The momentum of these activities illustrates the value of our Association as both a professional body and a community. From the camaraderie of pickleball to the formal deliberations of the AGM, the technical depth of our regulatory workshop, the forward-looking work on certification, and the ongoing support of our membership, each initiative reinforces our shared commitment to advocacy, education, and excellence. We warmly encourage all members to register for the upcoming sessions and to take part in shaping the future of independent wealth management in Singapore.

As the year’s final quarter approaches, let us carry forward the energy that has defined 2025 so far. I look forward to connecting with you at the AGM or one of our upcoming events.

AIWM Secretary
