Dear Members,

It has been a fast-forwarding past 6 months. The pace of change has been nothing short of a whirlwind with profound shifts across the global financial landscape. From accelerated technological solutions, evolving regulatory frameworks to global economic realignments and changing client needs, our industry is undergoing a period of significant change, signalling a new era in wealth management.

These shifts are not just challenges – they are catalysts. They are redefining how we operate, how we serve, and how we grow.

At AIWM Singapore, we’ve spent the first half of the year listening, collaborating, and responding –  ensuring your voice shapes our blueprint for the years ahead. From participation in regulatory dialogues, continuous education in regulatory & compliance updates to hosting our very first AIWM Independent Wealth Summit,  we’ve been there and we continue to be here to help you not just navigate these shifts but lead through them.

As we move into the second half of the year, we are accelerating our momentum. We’re doubling down on our commitment to uplift the independent wealth community and drive stronger advocacy for the independent wealth business model.

We have launched the AIWM Certification program, designed to enhance professional standards and reputation of our member firms. We have completed the first step in the certification process, that is the Company Self-Assessment. Next, we will progressively build on training programmes through data insights from the submitted self-assessment forms.

We have expanded collaboration with industry committee and partnership across sector, namely the MAS Financial Hub and STEP Singapore, striving to reflect your priorities in industry dialogues and foster peer exchange. Keep a lookout for events that are organised by STEP Singapore and enjoy the discounted rates!

The AIWM committee will continue to lay the foundation to help you

  • Upkeep with the winds of change and navigate these shifts with confidence;
  • Upskill to equip you with the relevant skill sets and stay relevant;
  • Update your knowledge to keep abreast of developments in the industry so as to remain fit and proper; and
  • Uphold high levels of professionalism and reliability within the industry.

Thank you for your continued engagement and trust. We look forward to create a better and stronger narrative for the 2nd half of 2025.
